About the Role
As a Truancy Termination Service Facilitator (1099 Contractor), you will support youth and families involved in the child welfare or juvenile justice system by providing structured interventions that address school absenteeism and reduce the risk of further delinquency. You will deliver community-based services designed to increase school engagement, prevent dropouts, and provide tools for success both at home and in the classroom.
Facilitators act as both mentors and educators, delivering school dropout prevention education, job readiness training, and parent education to help youth and families thrive. This includes strengthening family dynamics and improving outcomes through supportive, skill-building interactions. Services may take place in the home, school, or community and are aligned with goals established by DCS or probation services.
This role requires compassion, flexibility, and cultural awareness. As a 1099 contractor, you will manage your own schedule, maintain documentation, and collaborate with schools, courts, and DCS to support each youth’s educational and personal growth goals.
